Part 4. Recording Modes Explained

Full-Screen Mode

Screen Grabber Pro captures the whole visible display output in Full-Screen Mode. As soon as you open the recorder and choose Full-Screen, every pixel on your monitor is recorded. Begin recording by clicking the record button- the tool records all running applications, mouse actions, and system audio (enabled) anywhere on the entire desktop.

Custom Region Mode

Custom Region Mode allows you to specify an exact capture area. Once this mode is selected, drag to form a frame around the area of the screen you want to record. The frame can be resized, or it can be resized using preset dimensions. It is not until that frame that recording begins. This mode is effective at concentrating on a specific window or area of the interface, saving space.

Webcam Mode (Camera/Picture-in-Picture)

Webcam Mode, also known as Picture-in-Picture or Camera. Turn on "Only Camera" mode, and choose your Webcam in the preferences. The options are to overlay the webcam video on screen (PIP) or to record the Webcam only. This can come in handy with a tutorial, commentary, or even a video layer on your screen capture that the user can see.

Part 5. Need More Help?

1. What are the benefits of activated users?

Users who activate the full version have access to all features without any restrictions. It features unlimited recording time, the absence of a watermark on the output videos, and the ability to utilize editing and annotation features fully. Registered users can also post directly to online sites and have a greater range of output preferences.

2. What are the restrictions of the trial version?

Screen Grabber Pro is a trial version that has limitations, enabling users to test the software before purchasing it. Trial recordings will be 3 minutes long and will carry a watermark on the resulting file. Only when a valid license is activated, full features become available, and after logging in.

3. What is hiding the recording toolbar?

To have a cleaner recording screen, you can turn off the option in the settings menu, which is the Show recording toolbar. To toggle the toolbar on or off quickly when in full-screen mode, use the shortcut Ctrl + Alt + E. The toolbar can be hidden so that the recording is offered without distraction, particularly during a tutorial or professional material.
